The Ridgecrest Weekday Preschool Assistant Director sets the tone and standard for the Weekday Preschool Ministry for administration through daily, monthly, and yearly responsibilities. The assistant director will be responsible for assisting the Weekday Ministry Director in leadership and administration. As a ministry of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, our desire is to create an environment that lays the foundation for all children to become more like Christ, by leading them to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). The assistant director will report to the Weekday Ministry Director in cooperation with the Children/Preschool Ministry Director and the Executive/Discipleship Pastor.

Job Description
Qualifications
Daily Responsibilities:
- Answering all phone calls and greeting people at the door.
- Assisting with carpool drop off/pickup.
- Updating attendance and recording children’s absences from school.
- Sending, checking, and responding to all emails.
- Proofreading emails/letters from the director.
- Supporting teachers by helping with projects and various needs.
- Monitoring security cameras.
- Maintaining all kids staff files, staff files, binders, rolls and lists.
- Submitting new hire paperwork to the finance secretary.
- Making and displaying signs and notices for doors and entryway.
- Driving or riding a vehicle to pick children up as needed.
- Assisting in or filling in the classroom as needed.
- Posting and assisting with social media.
- Additionally, the Ridgecrest Weekday Preschool Assistant Director may be asked to complete tasks by the Weekday Ministry Director, the Preschool/Children and Preschool Director, or by the Executive/Discipleship Pastor.
- Preparing physical copies of application packets and PDF versions
- Sending, receiving, and maintaining application packets.
- Scheduling tours and appointments for the director and assistant director. Sending email confirmations and making phone calls regarding spots.
- Scheduling and executing emergency drills.
- Preparing, sending, and keeping track of intent forms.
- Updating the Weekday Kids Parent Handbook and Staff Handbook.
- Preparing emails for new school year registration.
- Preparing and ensuring all documents for MSDH are ready and available.
- Helping plan and prepare for programs and special activities.
- Taking fifteen contact hours for the health department license renewal.
- Help organize and plan teacher training week.
- Help organize and plan field trips, summer calendar, and holiday activities.
- Entering enrollments and maintaining a file for each enrollment.
- Emailing parents of new enrollments the registration email.
- Emailing Parent Portal invitations and assisting setup of online payments.
- Associate degree or Related Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, childcare, special education, psychology (with emphasis on child psychology), or family and consumer sciences (with emphasis on child development) or equivalent degree from another child-related field or course of study is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in a weekday environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Publisher
- Proficient with all office machinery: copiers, fax, postage meter, etc.
- Proficient in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, et al.)
- CDL license or willing to discuss obtaining one.
- Understanding and agreement with Baptist Faith & Message.
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
