Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Ridgecrest Baptist Church has been a church that has placed an emphasis on missions. In our desire to Know God, Serve Others, and Reach Our World. We want to engage our local, national, and international circles with the Gospel. To do this, we have intentionally drawn circles around local, national, and international regions in which we fully partner financially, through prayer, and send teams to serve.

Local Circles

Caring Hands

This is a free clinic that is open for one night each month. Each night there is a gospel presentation that is presented.  It is serviced by volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and staff that see around 80 patients a night at Pine Lake Gluckstadt Church and is supported by that church as well as Ridgecrest and other area churches. The patients are screened and also receive free prescriptions. The end goal is not only medical and dental services but legal, food, clothing, etc. Contact Brian Wright.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Chuck Slay serves as an Area Representative for the FCA. After years of coaching the Lord called him into this great ministry. He ministers to coaches, students and adults in our area in helping them unite their two passions of faith and athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. The FCA has been doing this for over 60 years and we are excited to see how the Lord is using Chuck in this great ministry.

Mission First

Jackson Street Ministry

The Jackson Street Ministry team is a group of individuals who are dedicated to sharing the grace of God to the disenfranchised and homeless of Jackson, MS. Our aim is to boldly follow Jesus where He leads and humbly engage people of the street in His love and grace. We meet at the First Baptist Church Parking lot on the corner of Mississippi and North Streets in downtown Jackson, every Wednesday night, and leave to minister by 6:30pm. For more information contact Brian Wright.

Mt. Olive Ministries

This is a community ministry in Mt. Olive, MS, led by Bro. Tony Duckworth. It includes after-school and summer programs for youth and also the Mt. Olive Community Church. Ridgecrest helped renovate a building into a lovely church with offices, kitchen, worship center, and Bible study rooms.  We partner with them to provide outreach materials and resources for the church, for their Tutoring program and the Student Robotics statewide and national competitions.  For more information contact Brian Wright.

In His Steps Ministries

This is a ministry in Canton that uses innovative and specialized ministries to impact the lives of people for the glory of Jesus Christ. Given this desire, IHS sees its present mission as providing Christ-centered ministries to at-risk children, juvenile offenders, and their families. At the same time,  IHS provides short-term mission opportunities for Christian individuals and churches carried out in close partnership with the local churches.  For ways to connect with In His Steps, visit their website at inhissteps.org or contact Brian Wright
