This part-time position will work closely with the worship pastor to oversee audio/visual needs in the weekly services and other events as necessary and will implement production broadcast of the worship services and special programs. This includes leading and developing volunteer video staff and overseeing and managing the expectations of this team and systems. This position will help the church to have a vibrant and cohesive online presence through social media and the church’s website. It will also help with production of video elements used in worship or promotion.

Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Oversee church-wide Sound/Lighting/Live Video teams and assure preparation for Sunday worship services.
  • Oversee Audio/Visual needs for all events on campus or as a part of local outreach strategies.
  • Oversee Livestream and other video production.
  • Responsible for technical components for all weekend services including, sound, lights, IMAG, videos, etc.
  • Responsible for planning, designing, and installing equipment upgrades and new equipment throughout the campus as needed.
  • Lead/manage campus video capture/playback.
  • Oversee or function as producer of weekend services.
  • Ensure the recording and/or broadcast of worship services, classes, and events as directed by leadership.
  • Develop Propresenter slides for podcast and video broadcast.
  • Prepare stage and equipment for weekly rehearsals and services.
  • Recruit, lead, and provide ongoing training and development of volunteer/employed audio/video staff.
  • Ensure services and events are staffed by volunteers and/or staff.
  • Oversee big picture planning for the production department.
  • Meet with worship pastor to develop new ministry initiatives.
  • Other staff duties as required by leadership.
  • Associate degree in media or production (bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize based on goals.
  • Ability to perform all assigned duties in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to cooperate and involve appropriate staff/volunteers.
  • Knowledgeable with various computer-based broadcast systems.
  • An understanding of how technology can be used in ministry.
  • Positive interpersonal and influence skills.
  • Experience leading multiple teams of adult volunteers.
  • Experience working in a church setting with attendance of 500+.
  • Embrace stated vision, live Ridgecrest Baptist Church’s values, and be preoccupied with the church’s expressed mission statement.
  • Understanding and agreement with Baptist Faith & Message.
  • This is a part-time position of approximately 15-20 hours/week to include Sunday mornings, Wednesday rehearsals.
