The Administrative Ministry Assistant will help execute the mission or Ridgecrest Baptist Church through administrative, project management, and communications support in our discipleship ministries. This full-time position requires a motivated individual who is highly organized with a keen attention to detail, the ability to problem-solve, multi-task, anticipate needs, and winsomely engage a broad range of people.

Job Description

Qualifications

  • Function as “Administrator and Planning Specialist” for continued support of Discipleship Ministry (Preschool, Children, Students, & Adult ministries).
  • Coordinate activities of all discipleship team leaders, ensuring smooth and seamless weekend service and mid-week operation.
  • Oversee Discipleship Ministry administration, ensuring attendance is recorded and running reports
  • Maintaining regular communication with ministry leaders as needed (emails, phone calls, meetings, et al.).
  • Maintain volunteer schedules for discipleship ministries.
  • Track ministry leader expenses, receipts, mileage, and reimbursements.
  • Manage the discipleship ministry calendar, functioning as the primary contact person for meetings and other schedule commitments.
  • Manage all forms of correspondence including voicemail, e-mail, and regular mail for the discipleship ministry team as needed.
  • Make travel arrangements and coordinate conference participation as well as speaking and consulting engagement logistics.
  • Participate in regular Discipleship Ministry Team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Associate degree or related experience preferred
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience as an administrator in support of executive management in a church or business environment preferred
  • Information gathering and information monitoring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Publisher
  • Proficient with all office machinery: copiers, fax, postage meter, etc.
  • Understanding and agreement with Baptist Faith & Message.
